Join us as we traverse the famous Great Central Road which stretches west to east across the Aussie Outback through eye-popping Namatjira desert country. Together we'll explore such spectacular destinations as Uluru (Ayers Rock), Kata Tjuta (The Olgas), Kings Canyon, Finke River, Palm Valley, West Macdonnell Ranges & many other areas accessible only by 4WD.
The tour is a nature-based adventure in which clients drive their own or hired 4WD vehicles & travel in a small convoy from Perth on the west coast to Alice Springs in the Red Centre, led by your expert guide, Tour Guide of the Year, Jeremy Perks, Director of Global Gypsies & his partner, Jan Barrie.
No previous off-road experience is necessary to join this fabulous expedition. 4WD tuition is included along with camping fees and park entry fees. Your experienced guide provides comprehensive explanations and information en-route via two-way radio (you need to have a vehicle-mounted unit). Vehicles must be robust & self-sufficient - ROBUST camper-trailers & off-road caravans welcome. Minimum 5/maximum 10 places in the convoy. We'll help you plan your trip, hold a Pre-Departure Workshop & even give you suggested shopping & packing lists.
