You’ll enjoy four days in the quaint fishing town of Tromsø in northern Norway – recommended by National Geographic as one of the world’s top seven Northern Lights viewing spots – and you’ll spend seven days on-board a private, specially equipped Arctic expedition ship which takes just 16 passengers plus crew. No crowds, no hassles, just silent cruising through peaceful Norwegian fjords that are chock full of exquisite marine life with a heavenly night sky overhead to enchant us.

Highlights will include admiring aurora borealis from land and sea; getting up close and personal with orcas – plus the incredible opportunity to swim with these magnificent creatures if desired; enjoying various marine activities in zodiacs; visiting a reindeer farm; dog-sledding with huskies; interacting with the indigenous Sami people on a comprehensive cultural experience; taking a cable car to the top of Storsteinen Mountain overlooking Tromsø and much much more.

The package includes quality hotel accommodation in Tromsø; double or quad cabins aboard MS Stromstad; most meals; fascinating marine and land-based activities; airport transfers; local English-speaking guides & marine experts assisted by two Australian tour escorts; Pre-Departure Kit & Pre-Departure Workshop. Cozy clothing for Arctic conditions can be hired in Tromsø and dry suits will be provided for those who want to swim with the orcas.

The Northern Lights Tour costs AUD$9890 per person (airfares additional) and is a joint venture with Majestic Whale Encounters – a reputable & successful Australian company that specializes in running orca tours in Scandinavia & Tonga.
