Because our loyal customers have told us they want an outback tour that’s a little bit shorter with a little more comfort, we’ve created a brand new mini-outback adventure! We are proud to introduce our unique “WA Heritage & Homesteads Tour”!
This relaxed, affordable, fun & relatively short outback experience will meander convoy-style through WA’s Midwest & Goldfields for eleven delightful days. You’ll see the sights, learn about the history, stay in a combination of caravan parks & bush camps & have a terrific time with a small group of like-minded travellers. The tour will be led by award-winning tour guide Jeremy Perks & will be self-drive & self-catered with 4WD’s, tents, camper-trailers and/or robust off-roadcaravans welcome (Minimum 6 / maximum10 vehicles).
Beginning in Merredin & finishing near Yalgoo, the itinerary includes historical points of interest, traditional heritage-style homesteads & several scenic spots that will be new to us. We’ll explore the Helena Aurora Range for the first time; share an indigenous cultural experience with our friend Mick Hayden from Njaki Njaki Aboriginal Tours; admire Antony Gormley’s eerie sculptures in Lake Ballard; visit Hoover House & Museum; relax at Niagara Dam & visit such rustic towns as Coolgardie, Ora Banda, Boulder, Leonora, Sandstone & Cue - each with its own fascinating stories to tell.
The Welcome & Farewell Dinners are on us & our last night will be very special indeed. We’ll be staying at heritage-listed Melangata Station Homestead designed over 100 years ago by famous Priest/Architect Monsignor John Hawes. Today this stunning property is owned & operated by our multi-talented Safari Hostess, Jo Clews, who will give us a private tour before spoiling us with a delicious home-cooked Farewell Feast!
Numbers will be strictly limited so book early to avoid disappointment!
