Here's a fantastic opportunity to explore the fabulous Kimberley - one of the most scenic and rugged parts of Australia - with one of the country's best tag-along-tour operators!
The tour starts in Derby & ends in Broome. Over 17 days/16 nights, we’ll visit all the top spots including Bells Gorge, Manning Gorge, Mitchell Falls, Gibb River Road, Home Valley, Kununurra, Lake Argyle, the Bungle Bungles (Purnululu), Geikie Gorge, Windjana Gorge, Tunnel Creek and more.
Drive your own, or a hired 4WD, and travel in the safety of a small convoy led by an expert guide. Discover the Kimberley - independent but not alone! While in convoy we communicate by two-way radio so you receive informative commentary & 4WD tips along the way. But we don't just drive from A to B! There are guided bush walks, supervised swims in safe areas, camp-oven cooking demos, star-gazing sessions, 4WD seminars, cozy campfire chats & the opportunity to meet new friends with similar interests. Previous 4WD experience isn't necessary, your guide will provide guidance & coaching along the way!
The expedition will be led by experienced & Eco-Certified Guide, Jeremy Perks, a Director of Global Gypsies, former Tour Guide of the Year & qualified mechanic. We'll also hold a Pre-Departure Workshop & give you a comprehensive Pre-Departure Kit in advance. The tour is SELF-CATERING - we'll even help you with a shopping list & suggested menus!
We suggest building in one or two days in Broome after the tour to enjoy the many attractions this tropical paradise has to offer. If you do, be sure to book your accommodation and/oor campsites well in advance! Check out Cable Beach, take a camel ride at sunset, book a joy flight, stroll through Chinatown, visit a pearl lugger, browse through the Broome Historical Society Museum, drive out to the Broome Bird Observatory, purchase some unique pearl jewellery, visit the famous outdoor theatre & markets, or just relax and soak up the laid-back Broome vibes.
Robust 4WD's & off-road camper trailers are welcome. Sorry no no pets; no children under 16.
