Namaste! Think Taj Mahal, tigers, tumeric and tea...not to mention Bollywood, Slumdog, sitars and saris. What an amazing, exotic and colourful place India is!

All eyes will be on this mysterious continent as India prepares for the Commonwealth Games in September 2010. And once all the hooplah is over and things have settled down again, the Gypsies will be arriving for one of our best tours ever!

We'd always wanted to visit India, so in 2009 we conducted a 'rekkie' - kind of a curry in a hurry! - to find the best destinations and plan a wonderful itinerary for our clients. Now we hope you'll join us in February 2011 - the ideal time of the year - for a mind-blowing 18 day "Exquisite India" tour incorporating sightseeing, culture and wildlife.

The tour will be personally escorted by Jeremy & Jan with assistance from an experienced local tour operator and local English-speaking guides. Transport will be in comfy coaches, the occasional train, rickshaw and even an elephant! We'll stay in quality accommodation on a twin/share basis with most (delicious) meals included.

We'll focus on the incredible destinations in the north of the country such as the Taj Mahal, Sikandra, Agra Fort and Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. We'll spend most of our time in vibrant Rajasthan where we'll soak up the culture, enjoy the local arts & crafts and - if you're game - take a cooking and tie-dye lesson! We'll spend a day or two in New Delhi to visit Ghandi's Museum and the many other city attractions, stay in ancient forts & palaces, shop in local bazaars and go on a three-day jungle safari in a tiger reserve in search of these marvelous endangered creatures.
